Calling for Fairer Funding in English Football

I called for greater financial fairness in English football, warning that the growing disparity in funding is damaging competition. Speaking in a Westminster Hall debate, I highlighted how newly promoted Premier League clubs are almost certain to be relegated due to the unfair distribution of money across the football pyramid.

I emphasised that to protect the integrity of the game, funding must be shared more fairly to ensure clubs at all levels can compete. I remain committed to pushing for a more balanced and sustainable football ecosystem that supports clubs and fans alike.
