Calling for Free-to-Air Coverage of 2027 Tour de France Grand Départ

I spoke in a Westminster Hall debate to call for free-to-air coverage of the 2027 Tour de France Grand Départ in Great Britain. Representing concerns from local cycling clubs, I warned that restricting coverage behind a paywall would be a missed opportunity to inspire young people to take up cycling.

I emphasised that accessible broadcasting is key to promoting grassroots sport and ensuring the event’s legacy. I am committed to championing greater access to major sporting events and will continue to push for fairer sports broadcasting to benefit local communities and aspiring athletes.
