Calling for Return of Maternity Services to Redditch

I urged the Government to review the centralisation of maternity services and restore provision at the Alexandra Hospital to meet the needs of local families.

Speaking in a Westminster Hall debate, I highlighted that since maternity services were relocated in 2015, Redditch residents have been forced to travel to Worcester or Birmingham for care. Despite over 50,000 signaturessupporting their return, no plans have been made.

With Worcestershire facing significant population growth, I called for long-term investment to ensure maternity care is safe, accessible, and fit for the future.
