Demanding Accountability from Severn Trent Water

I have written to Severn Trent Water’s CEO, Liv Garfield, challenging plans to increase water bills by 47% over the next five years. This comes amidst a staggering 88% rise in sewage dumps in Redditch last year, with 346 incidents recorded in 2023.

I criticised the company’s infrastructure failures and questioned multi-million-pound executive bonuses, stating that it’s unacceptable for customers to bear the cost of mismanagement while executives profit.

I called for accountability, urgent infrastructure investment, and support for vulnerable households. I pledge to fight for fairness and affordable, reliable services for Redditch residents during the cost-of-living crisis.
