Demanding Urgent Action on Pension Payment Delays

I have joined West Midlands MPs in calling on the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions to urgently address unacceptable delays in pension payments from the West Midlands Pension Fund.
Some Redditch retirees, including some who have waited nine months, have faced financial uncertainty due to delays linked to IT system failures since July 2023.
My colleagues and I have demanded an investigation into the pension fund’s operational issues, immediate access to payments for affected pensioners, and systemic reforms to prevent future delays.
Retirees deserve better and I’ll keep fighting for swift resolution.
