On World Cancer Day, I attended two key parliamentary events highlighting the urgent need for improved cancer diagnosis and treatment.
At Leukaemia UK’s event, I welcomed the launch of their ‘Take Action. Save Lives’ policy report, calling for a National Cancer Strategy. I also joined Radiotherapy UK’s campaign, urging investment in life-saving treatments.
With cancer cases expected to rise by 30% by 2040, urgent action is needed. I welcome the Government’s new National Cancer Plan and AI screening trials, and pledge to continue pushing for better care and innovation.
