I recently met with Rail Minister Lord Peter Hendy to discuss the urgent need for improved rail services in Redditch and the Villages. The meeting focused on restoring the Cross-City Line to three trains per hour and addressing ongoing performance issues with West Midlands Railway. I emphasised the negative impact of reduced services on local commuters, who have faced delays and overcrowding. The Rail Minister acknowledged these concerns and committed to reviewing current service levels. I will continue working with stakeholders to secure meaningful improvements, ensuring that residents receive the reliable rail services they deserve.
