Meeting Ukrainian Families in Redditch

I recently visited the Ukrainian Café at the Ecumenical Centre in Redditch, meeting families who have settled in the community after fleeing conflict. Alongside enjoying traditional Ukrainian food, I listened to their experiences and challenges.

The visit came ahead of Parliament marking the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. I expressed solidarity with the families I met and gratitude to Redditch residents who have welcomed those in need.

The UK remains steadfast in its support for Ukraine and its pursuit of a just peace. We must never forget their resilience and courage.
