Speaking Up for Families of Seriously Ill Children


I highlighted the urgent financial challenges facing parents of seriously ill children during a Westminster Hall debate. Drawing on meetings with constituents and data from Young Lives vs Cancer, I revealed that some families in Redditch and the Villages are missing crucial medical appointments because they cannot afford to get their children there.

This isn't just about long-term financial security—children are missing important appointments because their parents cannot afford to get them there. I emphasised the immediate need for better support systems to ensure no child misses essential healthcare due to financial hardship.
