WELCOMING RECORD £29.5M FUNDING TO FIX LOCAL ROADS

I welcome the record £1.6 billion investment to repair England’s road networks, with Worcestershire set to receive £29.57 million. This funding will allow local authorities to tackle over 7 million potholes in 2025/26, significantly enhancing road safety and reducing repair costs for drivers. The funding represents a nearly 50% increase from the previous year and aims to address the long-standing issue of potholes that have plagued our roads. I am committed to advocating for better infrastructure in Redditch and the Villages, ensuring safer journeys for all motorists.
